Comp Study at the Beach

Hello friends and family, I hope you enjoy these letters. I'm writing this letter on a train today! Were going down to Orlando to play TopGolf with the AP's because they're the homies and we basically get to go wherever we want in the mission because they love us.
This week I got to go on 2 exchanges, one with Elder Terry, and one with Elder Packer. When I went on the exchange with elder Terry we went to his area, which was in Daytona, home of the famous Daytona speedway, aka the place where all them Nascars go fast. It's also right next to the beach, so for our comp study we went to the beach and just did it there! It was cool, and I have attached some photos at the bottom. Other than that our exchange was kinda Boffa. Let's just say some missionaries miss home more than others.

The other exchange I had was with Elder Packer, he's a pretty dope dude. Since he is in an area called new Symerna beach, they didn't have a car. So I had to ride a bike for the first time on the mission! At first we walked to an area to go and knock some doors and we ended up talking with this dude named Howard for like 2 hours. We had a long conversation about god and Jesus Christ. At the beginning he flat out refused to read the Book of Mormon, but after lots of explaining and helping him realize we had way more similarities than we did differences. He eventually made us a deal. He said that if we read and studied john and Galatians in the bible, he would read any 2 books in the Book of Mormon. We settled on 3rd Nephi and Moroni. We didn't want to sauce him with Alma because it's way long. But if he reads with an open heart I know he'll feel the holy ghost testify its truth to him. After we left we went back to the apartment and grabbed the bikes and rode to lunch and than an hour and a half to our lesson and back. Lots of bike riding, luckily Florida is pretty flat, so it wasn't too bad.

This week we got a new car! Like I mean NEW new. It's a 2020 Rav4 and we got it with 6 miles on it. It's pretty dope. It's a hybrid so its basically silent when we start it. But It sounds like a spaceship when you drive it. Forgot to take a pic of it.

We had a really crazy thing happen to us this week, I ain't gonna put it in here because of reasons, but If you email me I might tell you what happened. But regardless of that, we had some referrals from both Hawaii and Rome. It was really funny to get calls from the sister missionaries from a whole different continent. We got to go over to the peoples house and drop off a Book of Mormon and set up a return appointment.

On Friday we knocked basically all day with our member friend David. It was a bad day tracting, no one wanted to talk to us for hours. We were about to head home and we were on our way back to the car, pretty bummed about the day and ready for it to be over. We decide to use the last 10 minutes we had knocking a row of houses close to our car, and on the very last door we knocked, a girl came out and talked with us. She invited us in and had lots of questions. She has just been talking with her friend about "Mormons" and was curious about what we believed. We got to answer lots of her questions and asked her for a return appointment, she wanted us to come back the next day, but we settled for Sunday! We got to meet with her again and she's super interested. I asked her why she invited us in at the first meeting, she said she felt a sense of peace from us and she wasn't worried about us at all. It was awesome to see the spirit work miracles. So! Even after a really crappy day, one good contact makes it all worth it.

Anyways! It's been fun, we should have some baptisms within the next couple weeks, so look forward to that. The work of the lord is moving and moving fast!
