Listen, I've been In quarantine for 13 days now, I am dying of boredom. None of our investigators have responded to us. Covid 19 Is killing missionary work on Florida. The quarantine has no ETA on being lifted. But to make this Email interesting I will tell you of the Epic Adventure I had with my zone leaders and my companion. You see, we have been playing D&D. For those of you who dont know me. I have been playing D&D for years now, and quarantine is a great time to play the game! The 3 heroes start as any great adventure always starts, in a Tavern. The Hearth is a warm and gentle Tavern with a bright fireplace in the back casting an orange glow on the happy patrons. The three friends, kanyxdor (Kuh-Nye-Door) a half elf Druid, Glafnar a Dragonborn Monk, and SkuzBucket, lovingly called Skuz, who is a half orc paladin. The 3 are sitting and enjoying a hardy milk when 3 members of a new guild enter the Tavern and start causing a ruckus. The 3 men start to assault the barkeep and tell him he better pay up or suffer the consequences. The 3 heroes step up and confront these bad men and have a fight then and there. 2 men die and the boss flees in terror into a nearby sewer drain. The Barkeep thanks the heroes and asks them to help get rid of this new guild of thieves and bandits. The heroes accept the quest with a mild reward of 20 gold. The group spends some time investigating the guild, almost dying and barely pulling off the cover ops. The druid spent some time as a rat snooping through the house learning secrets. Glafnar spends some time fighting in a fight club to earn the respect and help from a local war veteran Sampson Heartstone. While the druid Kanyxdor goes off in search of a tabaxi woman named Trixian Saltspire, who runs a ring of thieves and might know a thing or two about the new guild! The party proved successful on both these ventures, gaining the assistance of the veteran, and the information of the master thief. Now all the had to do was attack. The night came when they were going to strike, but they immediately noticed something strange and different. There were no guards and the front door swung widely open. It seemed as if no one was home. They tried to sneak along the wall and go to the back of the house, the 2 who attempted to hop the wall were met with an invisible wall of force, one that shot them back far and hurt them. The only way in was through the front gate. Once they stepped through the gate, a thick fog engulfed everything except the property. The house that seemed untouched was in shambles, nearly destroyed and the grounds were in terrible condition. The felt like this was definitely a trap. The Monk decided to create a human like shape out of this mist, using his powers. A large dark figure approached the fog man, and two inky black hands with long slender fingers extended from the fog. The small fog friend was then taken and the party heard a sickening laugh. The paladin sensed the presence of Fiends so strong he nearly vomited... the guild was already destroyed and their new enemy was whatever lies inside the house. They party entered the house and the doors slammed behind them. The rest in known only to the players ;) hope this wasn't a boring read. Love you guys! Have a good one-Elder Larkin
